Es Devlin

Es Devlin's work come back home again was inspired by the domed structure of St Paul's Cathedral. The bright dome was created by cutting out 243 species of plants and animals hand-painted on paper and pasting them onto the installation. These pencil drawings of moths, birds, beetles, wildflowers, fish, fungi and more are endangered creatures. In his works, people are urged to protect the environment and learn to remember the names of these animals and plants, which is also helpful to protect them.

I really like the design of paper leakage in her works. I think it can express the freedom of plants, which are not squeezed or confined, but in a relatively empty space. And I also like her appeal for everyone to protect the environment together.
